This will be less of a blog and more of a photo journaling post. A break from the bleak, you could say.
Over the 4th of July weekend, I saw a few pins over on Pinterest that caught my fancy; sparklers lit bright against a twilight sky, held still–no light trails in sight. I don’t have anything against long exposure photography for the record, only that in this instance, I liked the aesthetic of frozen time versus movement within the frame.
So what did I do? Well, I emulated and played around with sparklers and Ball jars and these are the results. I’m not 100% in love with every photo, but first go-arounds are never perfect.
Besides, I have plenty more sparklers to light up in the future, so perhaps you’ll see more added to this series in a bit. x
